Pleasure
in Simple Things

Life is great! Life is better spent, if we keep it simple.
As we live in simpler ways we have less stress and
and fewer concerns, too,

Life can give us pleasure as we look out a window,
watch children at play, or watch our dog's eyes as he
looks at us with love.

We find pleasure, too, in a kind word and a thank you
from a neighbor we helped; also,in a thank you
from our grandchild, and a kiss.

So much enjoyment is free but many people miss
that enjoyment, because they fail to look at
simple things.

Smile

A thought has come to me.
"How wonderful is a smile!"
I read once that a smile is a
lengthening of
the lips.

I believe that a smile is
a gift we give to others,
a day brightener too,
and welcomed
by all.
