God has created a new day
Silver and green and gold
Live that the sunset may find us
worthy His (or Her) gifts to hold.

Song:
This is the day
This is the day
This is the day
that the Lord hath made
let us be glad
let us be glad
and rejoice in it.
This is the day that
the Lord hath made
Let us be glad and
rejoice in it.
This is the day that
the Lord hath made!
Lovely "re" words follow
Re-joice, renew, recall,
remember, relax
re-live, receive,
Do we have any regrets this day? Is there anything we have left undone? Did we forget to smile today? Have we taken notice of gifts that have come to us spiritually? If not, let us take notice! We have the gift of: Our memory! Our warm bodies! Our senses! Our mobility.
Do we realize fully the gifts we have that we cannot provide for ourselves? air to breathe and our breath, our mind and thoughts that come to us, day and night, the seasons, a world to live in, people to live with, the abilities we have, at every age, a voice so we may communicate with others, pets to share our world with, food that grows for us, feelings.
The Creator gives every creation a voice: trees whisper, brooks babble, dogs bark, cats meow. We, too, are given a whole range of sounds.... wow!, so many to choose from: laughter, tears, growling (no growling please, growling is for doggies) cooing, whispering ......
More Re-words
repeat
request
re-tie-- are shoe laces mostly out ? as buggy whips are?
remember .....Oh, do let's remember the good in our lives and count that blessing!
forget? hey, "forget," you are not a re-word! Skedaddle!
Help us, God, to remember
what to remember
and what to forget.
Help us to see what is
loving in others
and to overlook the rest.

Acts may be wise.
Acts may be folly.

But I can sing!

PRACTICE LOVING!
I listened to a wise person on a DVD:
Prem Rawat, a spiritual leader
from India, spoke a
most important truth,
I hope I always remember.
Rawat said, and we know that already:
" Whatever we do consistently
and over time, we get good at."
Rawat reminded us again of
the old saying
" Practice makes perfect."
Rawat spoke then, about
the act of complaining. He said,
"Whatever we practice, we become good at
If we complain about this, and about that,
soon we become so good at complaining,
we complain about everything!"

LET US CHOOSE TO LOVE
If we were to practice loving
and forgo judging,
Think what lovers we
could become!
"A soft answer turns away wrath."
What if we spoke softly
and kindly to one another,
and always?
Then our heart
that longs to love,
would have no regrets,
and would rejoice!

I believe
Our Creator's Spiritual Presence
is within all that is created:
within us, within plants,
within every life.

Let us be thankful for our days.
and let us be thankful
that God wakes us to enjoy our days.
Let us be thankful for rest.
God brings us the gift of sleep.
Let us be grateful for life.
God gives us the breath
that sustains our lives.
God's silent voice now tells me:
"We're finished saying now, Marylee.
Say goodbye."
"Goodbye"
