Two Smiles

About three woodsy trees

For Thee I pine,
Spruce up and come,
for when I am lonesome,
I balsam.

Saint Robert

Do you know about Saint Robert?
He made the sun rise every morning,
but one day he overslept.
and was so disappointed
to see that the sun
had risen without him.

Less Serious Thoughts Sent to me

Is this moment mine?
I will know
If the next moment arrives
And I am here to greet it.

Heaven?

How am I in this moment?
Munching corn chips,
I am not hungry.
No sound is present.
In the quiet
I am not afraid.
In my mind
I find no anger.
In my self,
I have no need.,
and desire is sleeping.
This moment must be heaven
All is well.

Children of Joy

God wants us to be
seriously lighthearted
children of joy.
His/Her world of complexity
we cannot understand
or need to.

Breathe OUT Breathe IN

Andrew Weil is the author of "Eight Weeks to Better Breath".
published quite a few years ago.

While walking my dog, I decided to try a suggestion, Weil had made.
In his book, Weil advised us that "if we breathe out first, we will be able to feel the breath
leaving from the depths of our being. Then we will be able to take in a deeper breath
and benefit our body.

It was boring only to breathe, so I started singing hymns. Whle i walked Sammy, I sang every hymn I knew; and bit and pieces
of other songs. I like the hymn below. I'm singing it for you

Lead me lord,
lead me in thy righteousness.
Make Thy way plain before my face.
for it is Thou, Lord,Thou, Lord only
that makest me dwell in safety.

Words Psalm 5:8; Psalm 4:8
Music Samuel Wesley 1861

I'm singing one more hymn for you

This is the day
This is the day
This is the day that the Lord hath made.
Let us be glad, let us be glad, and rejoice in it.
and rejoice in it.
This is the day that the lord hath made
Let us be glad and rejoice in it.
This is the day that the lord hath made.
Psalm 118:24 Music Les Garrett, 1967

A number of years ago, an interesting aspect of hymn singing came into my mind.
I discovered ,and maybe others have known it all along, that I can sing silently,
in my head, any kind of music: hymns or pop tunes of my day, or Girl Scout songs,
and as I sing, and without sound, I hear the music. That is always a pleasant surprise!
