I think words and the ways in which we use those, will interest me
for as long as I live, and maybe for longer.
It's interesting to me how we use the word "myself."
I've made the statement and I've heard others say, as well,
"I don't feel like "myself" today.
At other times I've remarked, and heard others remark,
"I'm feeling more like myself today! "
In a time of tribulation, whether small in size, or larger, I've heard folks say
of the experience, "I was just beside myself." (if in anguish, the feeling lasted
until a solution appeared.)
Friends have said, "You don't seem like yourself today. Are you O.K?"
No doubt, it would take much thought and many words to
define the quantity, and the quality of being,
that the phrase MYSELF includes.
I FEEL A SONG COMING ON
A song has come to my mind. To help me know whether I remember the tune
and its begnning words, I'll sing some of the song right away! I'm singing now. Why not join me?
"O what a beautiful morning! O what a beautiful day. I've got a beautiful feeling
Everything's going my way.... That's all I'll sing for now. After my brother, Joe, and my sister-in-law, Carolyn, stop by,
I'll go to Google and write more about that song.
It's always so great to see my family. Maybe they'll have a new picture of my 2 month-old great niece, Madeleine. We're all thrilled she was named for our late Mother, who became known in many states. I'll write about her moon howls later.
Thanks for joining in the song. When I find something to be joyful about and
to sing about, as I often do, right away, I like to share it with others.
When it's so much fun to share, let's all pass along love, and songs,
and humor, too! Here's a little "ha-ha" I like.
"A pollster asked a woman, "What is your preference for a church?"
The woman thought for a bit, and then said, "Red Brick."
