Praying to God

The Lord’s prayer,
as one person might
pray to God:

Dear God,
You are with me!
I worship you.
Your kingdom is here!

Your will,
as it is in heaven,
is my guide,
on the earth
you have given us.

Every day, God, you provide
nourishment
for my body
and for my spirit.

I ask forgiveness, God, for
times, I have not been loving.
I forgive others if they
fail to show love!

I am grateful, God
that you lead me from
temptation,
and show me the path
where Love is.

How blessed I am
to have you, God, as
my dwelling place.
where I may live
in safety.

Your power, God, is
with me, and
with all that You create.
Your glory shines
through every creation.
You promise us, God, that you
will be with us forever. Amen.

A Post script

Because God is always
present with us
Why should we speak about God?
(Hallowed be thy name,
Thy kingdom come etc.,
Give us this day our daily bread…….etc.)

When we are with another person,
we speak to the person.
As I spoke to God before my rest.

Good night to every person I know.
As God loves each one of us the most,
I love each one of you the most,

Someone said to me, "You can’t
love everyone the most."
To that someone, I say, "Try
to stop me.
God loves every life the most.
And so shall I."
