The late Ernest Tomassich, was a violinist of world renown. Before his death, he was named a “Treasure” of Hungary. To commemorate his selection, Ernest, at his home in Florida, received from his birth country, a solid gold medallion.
Years back, Ernest told me a story, that he said, was true. The story is about the famous clown, and real person, Harlequin. The trademark suit that Harlequin wore was made by joining together, triangles of color and white.
"Harlequin," Ernest told me, "in addition to being a clown, was noted as a healer. Harlequin was able to heal conditions that doctors couldn't cure."
One time an older man sought healing for a puzzling condition that was gradually debilitating him. The man had sought care from several physicians. Not one physician had been able to help him. One final doctor, also a man of great renown, remained to be visited. The ailing man reached the office of that doctor. The man said to the doctor, "No one has been able to help me. You are my last hope."
The doctor examined the man, listened to his heart, and asked him of treatments other doctors had tried. Finally, the doctor said to the man, "Everything that I would try for you, has already been tried; There is nothing else I can do!" "But” the doctor said, "I am not your last hope. There is one hope left. You must go see Harlequin. He will heal you."
The old man said, "That I cannot do." He walked slowly to the door, opened it, and started to go out. The doctor called after the man, "But, I tell you, Harlequin has healed many people! I believe Harlequin can heal you. " The old man turned back to the doctor. "As I said, you were my last hope. I'm Harlequin."
