On January 1, 2007, a new year has begun. How did it get to be 2007? Where have the days and months gone? Does time really fly? I heard recently that something was about to take wing. Maybe it was a flock of migrating birds. Maybe it was Time bringing to all of us a new year!
THINKING ABOUT TIME
How many "truths" do we know about time?
Time and tide wait for no man!
***
It's the best of times,
It's the worst of times.
***
A lover writes in a song, "Time goes by so slowly."
And for a child who is waiting for her birthday to come;
the time of waiting may seem endless, too.
ATTRIBUTES TO PONDER
We human folk have two eyes, a nose, a mouth, legs, arms, a head. Each part of our body contributes to our life.
As attributes, Time has its seconds, its minutes and hours, its years, its centuries, its Millennium. Accomplishments happen in time.
MEMORY'S GIFTS
How great it is to live in one house and in one place for a long time (Almost sixty years). I am grateful today for the people I know and who know me, who are still, as I am, a resident in our town. It is such a pleasure to have shared, with so many nice folk, our community and our lives.
Our visual memory seems to be long lasting. When I meet up with people in 2006,that I have known since 1947, and maybe don't see often, those ones seem so familiar. Memory holds fast, also, the faces of family and friends who have left this realm of life. Time has not taken those loved ones from my mind and my heart.
EXCITING TIME with Technology
I'm grateful that my daughter, Jean, son-in-law, Larry, and grandson, Stephen, did not believe that age might hinder me from learning how to use a computer. My loved ones gave me, and continue to give me help, as needed. Thus, I can keep using this great technology. A wonderful gift!
TIME: A HEALER
Time is a healer: of the body, and of the mind:. Sickness often passes. In time, the pain of sorrow lessens, as well.
TIME
Yesterday leaves us; Today arrives. In 24 hours, tomorrow will be here, but it will then become a "today."
There's a time to be born,
and a time to die. - Bible
A GIFT
Time is a gift. While we may,
let's enjoy it! Today!

December 27, 2006 is a day of double blessings for me. Two granddaughters were born in Denver CO to my daughter and son-on-law florence and Joel Levy. Seeing your "musing" for this day is very meaningful and connects to my own personal blessings.
