Someone has said,
"God's spirit can't be inside of us.
If that were true,
then, when we die, God would die."
But how soon we forget that
we have God's life-giving breath
inside of us.
We can't create breath for ourselves.
There is nothing material from
which to make our human breath,
or to put that breath into place
for 60, or 70, or more years.
Yet, at death, when we no longer need it,
our breath leaves the body.
Marylee Armour
My younger brother
Mahlon Dickerson Manson III
received the same idea.
He said,
"When I took my first breath
God came into me.
When I die,
my breath will leave my body
and go into the atmosphere
for anyone to use.
I can bring my mother or father
before me
and commune with them,
or with anyone.
Their spirits didn’t go anywhere.
