Spirituality and God

It’s no big deal to bring to mind the thought that there is more to life than we can lay hold of. And yet…

Because spirituality has no tangible shape, we can’t lay hold to it. We may realize the presence of kindness, (even in a letter) but we can’t see the quality of kindness. We can see the sun’s ray, but must not look at its source.

We can experience regard for another in ourselves, and no one else will know of that feeling in us. We can see the power behind life simply by observing growth and activity in life over time. Where there was nothing, there now is something.

We can think about the growing process but can gain no understanding of how it starts. Even a human life begins in secret and out of sight.

After a seed’s visible life appears, then we can watch and marvel how it grows, flowers, and fruits. In every creation, there is also the provision for the future. In the setting of seeds that allow life to continue beyond itself, we may sense a Provider.

At a time of need, we may wonder what to do. There is no need to ask for help. Within ourselves, and as needed, ideas will come to us, We can be glad for help and watch our help unfold. Whatever spiritual help is needed, and as it is needed, will arrive.

The Provider for the universe, for us, and for the smallest creature insures beginnings, growth and fruition, but remains in the background. When help is needed and received, some folk will be unaware of having been helped. Others may realize their help and say, "Thank goodness." Still other ones may simply say, "Wow!" The Creator, I believe, accepts the responsibility for all that is created or sent abroad to help, but in the presence of appreciation, smiles and thinks, "My pleasure always!"
